This Privacy Policy describes how Convoy Connect (“Convoy,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a product built and operated by ITCurves, collects, uses, and protects your information. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using Convoy, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information, only where relevant to the features you use:

  • Account information. Name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and other profile details (such as CB handle, company, and truck information) you provide when creating or updating your account.
  • Location data. With your permission, we collect your device’s location to power features like nearby-driver discovery, meetup locations, and live status. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
  • Camera and photo library access. If you choose to set a profile picture, Convoy requests access to your camera or photo library to let you select or take a photo. We do not access your camera or photos for any other purpose.
  • Calling and communications data. To connect voice calls between users, we process call metadata (who called whom, when, and call duration) and route real-time audio through our calling infrastructure. We do not record or store the contents of your calls.
  • Device and push notification data. We collect device identifiers and push notification tokens (Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging) so Convoy can notify you of incoming calls, messages, and other activity — including while the App is in the background or closed.
  • Usage and log data. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, device type, operating system, and app activity logs to keep the service reliable and secure.
  • Contact form submissions. If you contact us through itcurves.com, we collect the name, email, and message you provide to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account
  • To connect you with other users, facilitate calls, and support meetups
  • To send push notifications for calls, connection requests, and meetup activity
  • To show your approximate location to nearby users when a relevant feature is active
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of Convoy
  • To respond to support requests and inquiries
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users, to the extent necessary for core features — for example, your name and profile photo are visible to users you connect with, and your live status may be visible while relaying a call.
  • With service providers who help us operate Convoy, including push notification delivery (Apple, Google/Firebase), cloud hosting and infrastructure, and telephony/call-relay infrastructure — solely to provide the service on our behalf.
  • For legal reasons, if required to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ITCurves, our users, or the public.

4. Third-Party Services

Convoy relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes a limited set of data solely to provide its function:

  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — delivers call and activity notifications to iOS devices.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivers call and activity notifications to Android devices.
  • Cloud hosting infrastructure — stores account data and runs Convoy’s backend services.
  • Call-relay (TURN/VoIP) infrastructure — routes real-time audio between users during a call; audio in transit is not recorded or stored.

These providers are contractually and technically limited to using data only as needed to deliver their service to us — they do not use it for their own advertising or other unrelated purposes.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Convoy’s features. You can delete your account at any time directly within the App under Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, connections, and associated data from our systems, other than information we are required to retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. International Users

Convoy is operated from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you use Convoy from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

7. Children’s Privacy

Convoy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted network connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can review and update your profile information within the App at any time.
  • You can disable location access, camera access, and push notifications through your device’s system settings.
  • You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information — contact us using the details below to make a request.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Convoy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
